~ Diabetic Diet ~
A diabetic diet is one that is going to avoid sugar; sugar in all forms. It will avoid the big 4: breads, rice, pasta, and potatoes. It will avoid grains of all sorts, especially the processed kinds. It will avoid fruit juices and keep fruit to a minimum. It will avoid breakfast cereals and oatmeal.
Did I mention the desserts? No way, not in the diabetic diet -- there is no room for this kind of metabolic stress on the system.
And what about artificial sweetners? Never! Unless you want to die a miserable, early death.
What will the diabetic diet include? Are you ready? It will be similar to the "Healthy Person" diet. Fresh vegetables and protein for almost every meal.
